As seen in the last post, I believe Ronald DeSantis would make a good president. However, would Trump or DeSantis be a better president?
What we have seen from DeSantis has been mostly impressive. He believed from the start that masks would do nothing, later confirmed by health specialists, got pay raises for teachers in Florida, and used over $400 million dollars for the restoration of the everglades.
On the other hand, we have seen Trump as president and not DeSantis. At the moment, Trump leads DeSantis by 5% according to Cygnal. According to HarvardHarrispoll.com, Trump is the clear favorite, but DeSantis is runner up.
I think I would still vote for DeSantis, however. There is a lot of controversy around Trump, and he would be likely to upset the hornets' nest, hornets' nest being our relations with Russia, China, and within the United States itself. I entertain hope that DeSantis would be less likely to do that.
We must remember that the China and Russia are watching us, as we deal with our shaky Government. We need a strong president who will take things head on and not pretend that everything is perfectly safe as long as we wear masks and get vaccinated. And I think that DeSantis would be that kind of president.
