Ronald Dion DeSantis: To Vote Or Not To Vote. Political View Of Ron DeSantis

     Ronald DeSantis, Govenor of Florida, may run for President in 2024. To attempt to inform people of the quality of Ron DeSantis, I thought I'd write this.                                   

      According to Wikipedia, his political view is conservative Republican. Wikipedia also says Ron DeSantis has stated we should have pulled out of Afghanistan immediately after routing the Taliban. He placed much of the blame on Biden for the poor handling of Afghanistan in 2022. 

    In another instance, on March 28, 2022, he signed the Parental Education Rights law which prevented teachers from teaching their students (as young as kindergarten- 3rd grade) about gender identity and sexual orientation.                                                                  Ron DeSantis, according to Wikipedia, approves the use of medical marijuana, but he insists that recreational marijuana will not become legalized when he is governor.                                             At the time of the Covid-19 lockdown in Florida, he countered the mandates to stop the virus, such as face masks and vaccinations. In May 2021, he signed a law preventing businesses, schools, and government entities from requiring proof of vaccination.                                                                                         In 2022, he said that Nikolas Kruz, the shooter at Stoneman Douglas Highschool, deserved the penalty of death. 

      Mark and Jackie Borden, parents of Daniel who went to Sandy Hook Elementary School before he was murdered by Adam Lanza in a school shooting, asked Ron DeSantis what position a took against the problem. DeSantis did not really answer his question, but Mark says he did not expect him to. In late January, DeSantis told the audience at a Town Hall meeting, saying, 'Firearm restrictions rarely affect criminals. They more affect law abiding citizens than criminals', he said, according to HuffPost.

     Based on all this, I think if I could vote, and he was running for President next year, I would vote for him. Even though he made have made some mistakes (remember, we are all human) I think he would run this country well.
